Silence

Some crave me
Others strive to fill me
Big or small infinities pass by
Filled with uncertainties
They hold their face in their hands, the screen flatlining to mute
They pace their living room floors, worry etched into the worn lines of their face, wishing for the sufferable eternity to be gone
They take my existence as doubt, just a tragedy in waiting
I promise stillness and tranquility, they see through the facade
the noose around their necks, suffocating them until they weeze
Empty promises and forgotten dreams
Litter the floors of my black abyss
My black murky waters stretch for miles
A hopeful voyager navigates through my twisted paths
Finding light at the end of the ocean
They blindingly pump their legs faster and faster
hope seizing their limbs
Alas, oceans are never ending
Infinities can not be outlived
Silence can not be escaped.
